Meet the Animals!

 Tortoise

This is Franklin! He is our resident tortoise. He is quite young at the age of twenty five. He has his own sanctuary on the course where he enjoys eating sweet potatoes and playing in hay.

Did you know? Turtles and tortoise are both reptiles! Tortoise are land dwellers and turtles have webbed feet, they prefer water!

 Snakes

We have quite a few species of snakes at Golf N Gator. Stop in to see who is with us. You may see this python!

Did you know? Pythons and Boas are not venomous! They are constrictors and kill their prey by suffocation.

 Birds

This is Delilah! She is a beautiful African Grey Parrot! She is very intelligent and friendly. She enjoys her treats and even corn on the cob! She hopes to meet you soon!

Did you know that there are 279 species of parrots? Their curved beak helps them easily break open nuts and seeds!

 Lizards

Have you ever seen an Iguana close up? Well, you can at Golf N Gator! You may be surprised at their beautiful color and their docile behavior.

Did you know the only lizard with a forked (or split) tongue is a Monitor? They use it to detect smells in the air that can lead them to food.

 Insects and Arachnids

Does hairy mean scary? You might want our trained animal handlers to put a few tarantula on you so you can find out for yourself!

Did you know? Both spiders and tarantula have two body segments, venomous fangs and strong jaws!
